Cute Card Thursday #60


This is my card made for Cute Card Thursday Challenge which this week is to use letters or numbers on your project.

I made this card for my nephew's birthday so added his name and age.  Gave promarkers a rest again and used pencils as wanted a more muted look.  I decorated the inside with scraps too.

ABC - N is for.....

ABC's challenge this week is "not a card". As we have a new addition, Mikey my Nephew, to our family I decided to make a scrapbook page. The pics are of Mikey, his big brother Brandon and their Dad John (my brother) and Mum Penny.

Special Double Challenge Card


This is a double challenge card made for the following challenges: -

I made this card for my lovely Husband who turns 50 next month - hope he likes it! As it's a very special card I decided to decorate more of the inside too.

Sugar Bowl #9

This card is made for challenge #9 on Sugar Bowl which is a card for men/boys. Now you all know how hard I find mens and boys cards but as my Nephew's birthday is in June I thought I would have a go (and if I don't like it I have time to make another LOL) I am really pleased with the result!

Now regular visitors know I LOVE pink and brown combos so this was heaven! Ovals cut on cuttlebug using nesties. Also managed to use my Cricut for the swirls using "storybook" cartridge (my fave!!!)

This is my card made using fabby sketch this week on Magnolia -v- Stampavie. The image is Sara Kay coloured with promarkers and edges distressed using Cut 'n' Dry. Papers are from K & Co with leaf border cut on Cricut using "Storybook" cartridge. Flowers, eyelets and ribbon from my stash.

A Spoon Full of Sugar #46

This card is made for my Niece's birthday on Monday. It ties in very nicely with this week's challenge on Spoon Full of Sugar which is - "How old" - to use an age on your project.

The image and papers are from Cuddly Buddly with name "LORNA" cut on Cricut using "Storybook" cartridge. Oval and scallop oval cut on cuttlebug using nesties. Silver mirri card, ribbon and gems from my stash.

Double Challenge Card

This card is made for my friend Kelly who won Ambassador Award at work (congrats hun xx). I used two different challenges for my inspiration.
  1. Truly Scrumptious #4 - sketch and flowers
  2. Whiff of Joy #24 - distressing
The image is Whiff of Joy Spring kit coloured with promarkers. Papers and flowers are from a new freebie kit called "Bubblegum & Licorice" at Summertime Designs. Shapes cut on Cricut using Storybook Cartridge and sentiment made on PC using Safmat.

Cute Card Thursday

This is my card made using the fabulous sketch by Katharina for Cute Card Thursday #51. It's their blogoversary this week so they have a fabulous prize for the winner.

My card is made with one of my new stamps from Magnolia Spring Stamp Club (so scrummy - lots of super images!!!) and coloured with promarkers. The papers are Basic Grey with sentiment from Cuddly Buddly. Scallop circle cut on cuttlebug using nesties and tag cut on Cricut using "George" cartridge. Flourish stamp, flowers, gems and ribbon to finish with a little hand doodling too :).

Triple Challenge Card

This card is made for three challenges: -
  1. Magnolia -v- Stampavie #17 - sketch layout
  2. Colour Create Challenge #6 - Orange, Yellow & Green
  3. Cupcake Craft Challenge #30 - Spring
The image is Sara Kay coloured with promarkers ans stickles. Papers are from Kay Miller Designs with the circles being cut on Cricut using "George & basic shapes" cartridge. Flowers are punched and accented with stickles and gems. The sentiment is from Whiff of Joy. Corner flourish stamp, gems and white gel pen used to embellish.

Quite pleased with the result. Not normally a "green girl" but this is so fresh and Spring-like!

Two cards

This first card is made using the fab sketch on this week's Forever Friends Blog. The image is coloured with promarkers and mounted using papers from K&Co and blue card from my stash. The sentiment is made on PC using Safmat and finished with gems, flowers and ribbon from my stash.

This card is an order for a friend at work. It's for a very sprightly lady who is 95 this weekend (doh - as if you couldn't guess) and still assists with the Pony Club. The image, paper and sentiment tag are from Cuddly Buddly with the pony being decoupaged and stickles added for sparkle. The numbers are cut on my Cricut using "Storybook" cartridge. flowers and gems from my stash.

Another two cards!

I have made another two cards today - Mojo going well!

This first card is a birthday card for my Mum using sketch on Inspirational Card Sketch #5. Love the simple layout of this but you can do so much more!

The papers are from K & Co with one of my new "Gorguss Girls" from Sugar Nellie that came in the post today - yummy aint she? The image is coloured with promarkers and "MUM" is cut on Cricut using "Storybook" cartridge. Flowers, brads, gems and lace ribbon are from my stash.

This second card is made for friend at work who leaves this week to have her third baby. The card is made using sketch layout for this week's challenge on Cupcake Craft Challenge #28. The papers are new download from Pink Petticoat called "Sweet Flourishes" with Elzybells image and greeting coloured with promarkers. Flowers punched from card and paper with brads in the centre.

ABC.....Z if for ZZZZZZZZZZZZ Sleeping

This is my DT card for ABC - Z for zzzzzz sleeping!

I decided to make a baby boy card as this was the only image I had of sleeping and a friend is due to have a baby boy this month! The paper is punched along the edge using corner punch that doubles as a border punch (had to make a few mistakes first to get it to line up correctly!)

Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge #9

This is my card for this week's challenge on Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge which is a fantabulous sketch by our lovely SUE.
My card is made using papers from Chris Warner Decoupage and more CD with stamped image from Elzybells which I have paper pieced and glittered with stickles. The corner is cut on my Cricut with silver mirri card and gems from my stash. The sentiment is made on PC using Safmat from Secret Crafter.
