Hexagon box - with a difference

One of my fellow Pootlers (Our Stampin' Up! Team) challenged us on our FB page to make a project using one SU colour and one SU Stamp set only (although we were allowed white/ivory card also).

I made this 6 sided box using two pieces of card 6.5" x 9"and score as follows.
  • Short side 2, 4, & 6"
  • Long side 2, 6  & 8"

I cut the bottom small oblong off and attached together then cutting off the tops 1" rim of four of the flaps, keeping two opposite ones to make the closure as in picture.  I hand cut the corners to angle them. ( a template is at the bottom of the post)

I then cut layers 6 at 1 7/8" x 3 7/8" and 6 at 1 7/8" x 1 7/8" for the top flaps.  Stamped one of each in different patterns and sponged the edges.

Cut a piece of ivory card 2" x 3" and used scallop top punch to make the label. Ribbon, punched butterfly and pearls to finish.
