Lil' old Me

I am a full-time working mum who works shifts with a son Richard aged 23 and a daughter Emma aged 21. I have been married to my lovely Husband Paul for 26 years. My passion in life, besides my family, is papercrafting, especially cardmaking, although I "dabble" in scrapbooking. I was introduced to Jewellery making in 2012 and found another addiction :) I have been cardmaking since 2006. I am also a bit of a tigger freak!

A decision made

I have been thinking long and hard for a couple of weeks and decided to resign ALL my DT's apart from SCSC (which I run for Wendy).

My circumstances have changed and I no longer feel I can commit what is necessary to the DT's or the blogging world in general. I am the sort of person that if I can't give 100% then I cannot give less.

I am really sorry to leave ABC, Just Cute Bears & I LOVE DIGI and have enjoyed my time tremdously. My crafting is taking a third place lately (let alone second) so may not be around for a while, however I will still be posting my DT card on Saturdays for SCSC.

Sad news Jane and well done you for being honest and true to yuorself...I'm struggling with blogging too at the moment and totally understand how other things can become more important...I think we can become all too consumed with crafting and blogging and forget that there are other equally important things in our lives! I wish you all the best and will still look forward to working with you at SCSC :) Donna x

Hi Jane,
Oh hun I am so sorry that you will be leaving I Love Digi - I will miss your fabulous creations on there but at least we will still see some of them I guess. I think we can all appreciate that life presents us all with challenges sometimes and I'm sure you will deal with them superbly whatever they may be. I hope you will come back to the team one day Jane or at least do a couple of GDT spots (if that's ok with Elaine!!).
Take care hun and keep in touch
Hugs
Dawn xx

Jane, hun, I totally understand where you are coming from too! I am now only on my own and KDs for that reason, real life is much more important than DTs and blogs and you have done the right thing in reducing your commitments. I will miss your wonderful creations for our I Love Digi blog and to see all your creations for other teams also as your cards are fabulous hun... I hope we will still continue to see some of your gorgeous work for SCSC and as Dawn says, I would welcome you back at any time, the door is always open :)

Sending big hugs :)

Aww Jane it is sad that you are leaving the ABC and Just Cute Bears ... I love working with you on both those challenges.
However I do know where you are coming from, and I am finding crafting and blogging is increasingly taking a smaller part of my life up.
But we will keep in touch and hopefully meet up at Wedny' soon ... and the NEC is in my diary!!!
Hugs
Cathy xx

PS thank you for my birthday pressie xx

Hi Jane, I totally understand where you are coming from, after having had a break of four months, it was definitely the best thing I did, took time away from crafting and spent time with my family. It's bad when crafting begins to overtake your life, I know you'll still be around, but your own life has to take priority. You'll be back when you're ready. Enjoy your time away.
hugs

Hi Jane,I think I can understand why you need a breather. Sometimes I feel as if I spend most of my time catching up with blogs and doing DT commenting and hardly any time making cards. I've just finished a card I really wanted to make and I've really enjoyed doing it. But now to the DT cards lol!!

Take care and I'll still look out for your cards on SCSC. It's been great to work with you on Just Cute Bears.
